Bill Snow has a passion for cars that was was started at a very young age. In the summer of 1972 he attended his first Trans Am race at Mid-Ohio – while still in the womb. The sounds and fumes must have influenced this passion.
The first car Bill worked on was a 1956 Chevy Bel Air with a 283ci engine. He had a screw driver and a pair of pliers and figured out how to get it running. From there he’s tinkered with, played around with and has enjoyed cars.
In high school Bill got his first car, a 1982 Datsun 280ZX. He worked a bunch on that car. From tune-ups, to suspension upgrades, and body work – you can say that he learned a lot by working on this car. He auto-crossed this car and started to get involved with the SCCA at age 17. During his high school years, he worked at a local car dealership. He swept the floors, cleaned cars, attended shows and helped the mechanics to learn as much as he could about cars.
While in college Bill raced go karts, worked on pit crews, and ran an automotive repair facility.
After college he worked in corporate positions with Robert Half International and Sprint. Bill earned his MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. It was during his MBA coursework that he developed a business plan for an automotive related business. His passion was re-ignited.
In February 2014 Bill opened Rad Air Complete Car Care & Tire Centers in Wickliffe. His goal was simple – To perform repairs and maintenance at a fair price and to fix it right the first time.
Staying involved in motorsports has been important to Bill. He’s served as Neohio SCCA’s SOLO Chair, reviving a dead SOLO program which is strong and vibrant today. He’s also involved with an endurance racing team and races karts.
Bill believes that volunteerism and being involved in the community is important. He’s currently a board member of the Willoughby Western Lake County Chamber of Commerce, conducts local, car care clinics, hosts a document shredding event at his shop, and supports local events.
